Hi there, bought myself a restored 750 K2 a few months ago, love it. Allthough I can do basic maintenance I don't kid myself that anything serious is in my comfort zone, I live in Stockport and could do with finding a decent local(ish) mechanic who knows these bikes, any recommendations?
Chris.

Welcome aboard.. Member 'Oddjob' may know someone .. as he is your side of the Pennines and worked in the trade previously.

Thanks to you all for the kind replies

Do you have a 'Saint' car then? Saw the white one at the NEC show in November.

Welcome Chris.
I'm your sure you will find the answers to all your questions from the knowledgeable members on the forum (although I will be of no use to you at all). Have fun

Impressed and slightly envious :-[ ... was it assembled at the Jensen factory or after they moved it back to Sweden?
manuals here if you fancy tinkering yourself. The Mega 750 manual is good

Hi there, no mines an S
Which means it was made in Swededn after Volvo took the manufacture off Jensen due to poor quality which is a shame for British engineering, and many thanks for the link.

Trust Ash to know all about Volvo 1800s...
For the rest of us, how about a short history lesson (with pics of course)
A Volvo made by Jensen ????

All here Steve ... There was one at the top of my street when I was a kid ... always admired them. One of the '60's cars to employ the excellent British Laycock De-Normanville overdrive... betcha Orcadian knows all about them too... us two 'ulll lads are from the City of Culture you know ;D ;D

QPM......I bought a 'Bella' Scooter from the QPM Broad Street Shop..........(I think it was a 'Bella')........for a Fiver when I was about 15!. Never got it running but it was good for a kid to tinker with and as I recall I made a profit on it (rare I know). Then onto various Lambrettas and 'Parkas and badges' - last one from a Dealer on Chapel Street, Salford - RRJ 904H....till I met a BSA 650 A10......URJ 83.....what would that Plate be worth now? I worked on the night shift when I owned that and cleaned it every night and changed the oil every month (as I used the oil we used in the Machine Tools in the factory - LOL)
So - three Lambrettas, six Hondas, one Suzuki, two Kwackers, and one Yamaha later..........but I have NEVER owned a Volvo!
