   so I got the polishing cloth and Solvol out,

  really pleased with the result,

Looks great John, but seems to me a waste of great riding weather, you can always do cleaning on a rainy day

I recovered it,but had to make a new foam inner,

 its comfy,but not quite perfect shape,

 as for riding today,still to much salt from last night,

She looks lovely, as always John. I don't think there is a better sight than a bike that is ridden regularly and well looked after.

Nice one john it can be quite satisfying giving the bike a clean , but very wise not to ride on salty roads, i was looking at a two year old bike on the bike shop forecourt the other day, every zinc plated part had corrosion from salt, just shows if you dont wash it off and protect  it can ruin the finish

No problem with salty roads, as long as the bike is washed and dried before you put it away.

I was out last Sunday on the CB750, but , I'll never put a damp bike away after a ride on salty roads again, after I ruined a new Triumph Daytona by doing just that. Black anodised fasteners went permanently crusty overnight. :(
