Title: Main and Side stand Springs Refitting - Help
Post by: paulbaker1954 on February 15, 2016, 08:50:37 AM: Anyone any tips for refitting these springs. I think the main I can manage but the side was a b****** to get off, it has so much tension I could hardly pull it even with a length of wire wrapped around the end to make a pulling loop (which is a trick I have used before on my Trophy) and heavy gloves >:( >:(

Post by: Woodside on February 15, 2016, 09:44:55 AM: You can put a washer in between each Coil and that sometimes opens the spring up enough to pop on....then just pull washers out....works sometimes

It can sometimes take a few goes and another time goes straight in.

and the way i did it when i turned it around.
The spring the right way that is not the stand.
Trigger spotted it in a visit so i had to put it around the propper way ;) ;)
