It's 6am in dark and frozen Wokingham. -6 degrees outside.
I'm going to Warwick today for a meeting. 210 miles round trip.

I go every month and have always gone on my bike as negotiating the morning rush on the M40 is far easier.

Today I'll defrost the car I think and leave half an hour earlier.

There's the first test vs South Africa on the radio from 0830 so motorway traffic doesn't faze me (!)
Like your style buddy. If you have to do somethin not so nice, might as well make it comfortable ;)

Got fed up with the grim weather yesterday (Tues) so had a day out to Liverpool, it was a blast from the past. Parked up at Hooton and got the train to Liverpool Central, I can remember doing the train journey with my mum when I was little (pre school) although I can't remember anything but the train jourmey.
Had a great day wandering around, went on the big wheel at Liverpool 1 (60m), that was great if a little chilly !
On the way back I popped into the leather shop at Liverpool central and bought a pair of leather biking trousers, fit great and only cost

Take care, regards ianmck.

Hi davyy, could have been me, had a good few run outs over on the Wirral last year, usually ride out with a couple of mates on gsx 1400's, my 750 is darkish red with gold badges and tank stripes, are you hoping to have your bike ready for the new year ?
Regards ianmck.
hi ianmck
could very well have been you buddy,it was a solo rider and the tank was a dark red/browny colour with stripes.
intresting that you ride with a couple of gsx14 owners, are they members of the gsx1400.org.club.
as for the 550/ it's a big ask to have her up an runnin soon ,but defo want her motoring in the spring all bein good

Not sure what you mean with the oil as the 500/660 oil restrictors were in the barrel dowels at the base gasket level
my bad bryanj.lookin in the haynes it gives info on both 400 and 550,it shows oil jet pipes running either side of the cam,as the rocker was all ready off i assumed they were lost, but now i'm leaning toward the notion that their on the 400 only ::)did i explain i'm a novice ;D :D

Hi Daveyy and welcome.

Is your bike a CB550 F1 or a 500/4?

There seems to be some confusion on the board.
she's a 550 f1 dave ;)the confusion probably started when i opened my mouth :D :D ::)

she's not stayin standard i'm afraid, i'd want her concors for that and theres to much wrong with her for that[chunks out the alloy ect]so i fancy the cafe look, already done the paint work in black, and as always money is an issue so tryin to use what i've got already
