Grewth, fancy a frame kit ? Means you can install the engine in big lumps (bottom end / barrels / head / top end) or install the engine built up a lot easier.

Royhall, was selling the kit for £45, got one left but if anyone is interested, I can make more. When I got my frame welded, the engineering shop that did the welding (tig) said the kit was just as strong, if not stronger than the original tubing. Here's the kit. Mild steel top hats, stainless threaded bar/nuts/washers.

Bought a lot of parts from CMSNL and they charged me VAT at 20% even though their site says "no VAT on non EU countries". I phoned them to say UK is not an EU country and was informed that VAT for UK was still payable as that was part of the #@%$ deal. But no import duty. Tory twats.

Alimacdee2, got my cylinders and head skimmed at UK Recon, 3 Salkeld St, Glasgow G5 8HE, tel: 0141 429 7338. They did a good job and wasn't very expensive. If you want the gasket, PM me with your address mate.

Alimacdee2, I have a spare head gasket you can have. Got it in a full gasket set, with round cylinder cut outs. I have a 1979 F2 which has "egg" shaped cylinder cut outs so had to use a different gasket. You are welcome to the gasket which is unused. Assume you are in Aberdeenshire. Archmill (Motherwell)

Steve D, no apology required whatsoever. Always regarded this site as helpfull and informative, not as a money maker.

That kit's made by someone called "Archmill". LOL Made it on my lathe a number of years ago and have sold quite a few on Fleabay. I have never put them on this site as when I joined, the site made it clear that it was not a site for selling manufactured items. Bad manners seemingly. Anyway, the threaded bar (12mm), locknuts , washers and screws are stainless. Top hats and join bars mild steel. This kit takes a lot longer to install/dismantle than the Gordon kit but how many times a year do you want to remove the rocker box/head or barrels.
