Those seals eat (some) horsepower ;)

If you have not already done so it is worth looking at the twin disc conversion in Aladdins cave where you will see it's not an easy task even when using the originall wheel. The section includes some things it will affect you are going to have to remove one of the calipers if you want to remove the wheel in the future since the wheel and tyre just don’t fit between the two pivot arms when they are both bolted on. There is always a downsidehttps://info.sohc.co.uk/download/dual-disc-conversion-ben-hiles/

I would then measure the actual width of the original hub and the hub you have, subtracting the difference should give you a handle on if it's possible when you see how little room there is using your original hub.
With most more modern bikes with twin discs you'll have to remove at least one caliper, and some (if not most) both brakes to remove the wheel! On my CBR I have to take them both off, and that is no real problem, 2 bolts per caliper...

The last paragraph doesn't apply for 400 (and 350) as the main jet is held only by its o-ring, and the whole story about the emulsifier holes is meant for the 750's.

I Helicoiled all my floatbowl threads 2 weeks ago, because three had gone bad loosening the bowls.
I ordered a set from Amazon, cost me 7 euro INCLUDING postage, took 3 days to get here and then spent less than an hour on a rainy sunday afternoon to put them in. The set was complete with all the tools I needed, drill, allen key, thread turner inner ;) and 24 coils, so enough spare to make mistakes (which I didn't).

I just ordered a set of BT46's last night, to replace the Metzeler Perfects (11 and 77) I put on my 400 myself in 2008 :o There is still some profile on them, and no cracks, but I expect the handling will improve dramatically. The Bridgestone are totally new to me, but I've heard nothing but good reviews from other CB riders in our club. This weekend I'll do a goodby ride with the old tyres to attend a classic meeting some 200 km away, I'll try to take some nice pics there too :D

I've been using one like that for years now, never heard a rattle yet ;)
Less weight is always good!

Or restricted air flow, not by any chance put your gloves under the seat, or rain gear...

Was that meant to be 0.0 ?
Yep, on the continent we don't point but we comma!

I've been using the same tool for the last 40+ years, an adapted wheel spoke with two almost 90° bends and a flattened end, doesn't damage anything but scrapes dirt out of any corner without getting my hands in a knot ;)

I am with Bryan on this, any brush you use only polishes the crud, and as those discs, as you say, will remove alloy, the risk to remove more than just the filth is always there.
It is only one groove per caliper so how much time can you save by doing it mechanically in stead of by hand?
