That diagram is all wrong.
As you sit astride the bike Cylinder 1 is on the far outer left, then its cylinders ,2,3,4.
Right, I'll delete before it does anymore harm!

When the rebore was done, were the valves checked and also clearances set properly upon re assembly.?
I had a different garage do those at the same time as I had them fit the header pipe properly. Bike was great for a day and now this. I expect I'll be heaving the carbs out.

If the leads are long enough try swapping the two cylinders to eliminate a HT coil lead issue.
Alas, it didn't work either. Maybe I'm going to have to face the hell of putting carbs back in but not today anymore.

Any diesel residues still in the fuel system ?
Spark a little better I think but piston didn't fire. This is the carb that the garage put new seals in, maybe I need to clean it again, but why would one carb be more affected than the others? Could it have been because this was the cyclinder that needed reboring more than the others? ( I just had a rebore courtesy Bran)

I'm not firing on my CB400Fs #2 piston. A look at the plug showed a fairy sooty result that was dry, the plug is new. I did the crude test of placing the plug on the cooling fins and hitting the go button to check for a spark. There was a spark but it came off the top of the electriod, not within the gap itself. Any ideas?

I'd rather you were doing the Fuel tank rear mounting rubber (17613377000). By the time DSS spares has added delivery it costs £45.oo I might try to repair mine, I can't find a cheaper option.

Looking for something different for my next 550 project on the wheel rim front. Was thinking about gold or maybe even black rims. Anybody know of or had them supplied?
Year ago on my dispatch bike I plain painted them black, but hat was just a dispatch bike, but this is what the result looked like.

I'll probably win it more than anyone else.
Right now I'm not sure about that.

Hopefully I'll get my bike back tonight or tomorrow. She certainly needed the rebore and new pistons that's been done ( Thanks Bryan) but I now know why I had run into sudden and smokey trouble in the first place.... I'd just finished topping up with diesel, by mistake of course. A senior moment to see the bluddy least. The mechanic noticed a fuel spill hadn't evaporated and looked closer, discovering why things weren't going well after all should have been fixed by now. Is there a special prize or title on this site for these things?

Whatever, careful how you set your lower UK bars or the switch gear will contact the tank, I found out.
