The go to guy around here who can weld any metal especially alloys is Badfoot Customs. Check out his Facebook page, a metal genius.

I bought a set of Standard CB 550 piston rings from Nurse Julie a while ago. Not now needed as engine sold. Are they any use to anyone?
Thanks
Bill W.

The diagrams of the two screwdrivers say it all. Do you want a good fir or a perfect fit? You can make many screwdrivers a workable option. It depends if you want to use the correct tool for the job or one that will do the job.

Thanks for the replies. I remembered the Mil part of the name, but the remainder eluded me.  Once again Many Thanks.

Whilst a bit off topic, who is the British engineer who carves up motorcycle engines to me 6 cylinders out of a 4cyl and a 2 cyl etc? Millward or Millington spring to mind but can't find him???

Pages  7 and 8 missing from CB 500 550 shop manual.

This was picked up in 2013 and a link was supplied to download it. That link is no longer available.

Could someone s an the manual again to allow me to download these 2 pages.

Thanks Bill W.

I have just been looking at the parts lists in Ash’s Dropbox and given that the drawings are reasonably accurate, they both have the Supersport sticker under the badge holes. On the drawings, the holes align with different letters on the sticker.
On the F2 drawing the holes appear to be above the U of Super and the P of sport.
On the F1 drawing they are further apart above the first S and the last T.
This is what led me to assume the different part number were because the pins on the back of the badge were further apart.
I know there are experts out there that have a lot more practical experience than me on these bikes, but I would rather ask questions than fork out for the wrong badges, which are like Rocking Horse droppings.
Thanks for all your assistance.

Just doing some checking on the 2 tanks I have.
The original tank I got with the bike, that someone lined with fibreglass resin and is not useable, has 2 holes in the tank to fix the HONDA badges to. They were actually stuck on with double sided tape when I got the bike. I assume this is an F2 tank?

The tank that is in for paint has 2 standoffs with holes to mount the badges I assume this is an F1 tank.

The pins have the same part No, 87311-516-000.

The badges part No of the F1 tank is 87121-390-000 and 87122-390-000.

With the F2 the part No’s end in 780. If what I am saying is correct, then it is the F1 badges I need.

Could someone confirm or correct my assumption please.

Cheers
Bill W
