Our local Post Office is one of the ones that refused to change the taxation class to Historic. I sent the V5 to DVLC and they did it for me.
It is very frustrating when having to deal with a obstinate local bureaucrat stuck behind the counter of the Post Office Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk 4

I think prices of old bikes and parts have gone up during the covid lockdown, too many idle hands wondering around on the keyboard.
Regarding the ridiculous price of the gasket set, I have seen this done several times before when the seller has "no stock". I'm not sure why they don't just take the advert down and pop a new one up when they have stock, but presumably there are implications if they did that. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk 6

The brown CB500T must have come from a completely different design department to the CB400F. Although I've generally thought that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, that particular bike .......

Obviously I'm a bit odd, but I have always had a soft spot for the CJ250/360. The plain yellow tank and black side panel have an appeal.
Good luck with the restoration, I will look forward to any updates Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk 8

By all means use that jet "for now" but I would be purchasing one to have in the spares box ready for the next time the carbs come apart

Some people should not be allowed to even touch a motorcycle, let alone work on one

I was going to add take care out there, but I don't think you would have been able to do anything about this particular incident

New Member Introductions / Re: Motty Introduction« on: May 04, 2020, 10:52:36 PM »Hi motty. I thought your bike looked familiar... could this be the same one? Apologies for the poor quality of the photo’s. These were taken probably ten years ago....What a fascinating photo. I think he has fitted ARE(sp?) wheels to his bike as they are a different spoke pattern to a Yamaha wheel and he has retained the drum rear wheel. Thank you very much for posting it, I haven't seen that bike before Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk 14

Thank you very much for the warm welcome, I have already posted a photo of the Guzzi, I will also pop one up of the RD.
If you dislike non standard older bikes, please look away, it is utterly gorgeous in my eyes. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk ![]() 15
New Member Introductions / Re: Motty Introduction« on: May 01, 2020, 07:56:42 PM »Welcome to the forum Motty. Is the V35 the Imola? I really liked the V50 Monza, a poor man's Le-Mans.No it's not a Imola, it's the smaller cousin to the four valve V75. I will tack a photo up so you can see it. I brought it way back in 1988 when I was much younger, it was used for quite a few years, it then spent quite a lot of years residing in the back of various garages whilst the family grew up and house purchases were paid for. Happily it is now back on the road (well not during the current crisis) Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk ![]()
