I've bought a new tap, when i fit it I'll investigate possibilities for the repairing the old one but now the nice weather is here i didn't want to be stuck with a failing, leaky tap.

CB750 / CB750 K6 fuel tap repair kit
« on: March 23, 2026, 12:03:42 PM »
Hello All
The fuel tap on my K6 leaks externally when in the reserve position. I've searched hard but can only find repair kits for earlier K model fuel taps, nothing for the LHS single fuel line K6 tap.
I know I can buy a replacement tap both original and pattern but I would prefer to keep and repair my existing one.
Can anyone help with a recommended source for this.

Thanks
Rich

Yes they are original 341 pipes that have been errrr thoughtfully( ;D) cut down by a previous owner. Not ideal but they are nicely baffled and the bike runs well with them, although slightly louder than stock. They are slowly growing on me so will stay for now.

I'm newish to this forum so I'd like to introduce myself and my new (to me) CB750K6
Busy going through it putting things right and getting things just how I want them but it will be a long rolling project.
I can't thanks you all enough for the wealth of information that can be found here, I've had bikes for over 40 years but this is my first CB750 so I have lots to learn :)
Cheers
Rich
