Welcome to the 400/4 forum😉.
As said before, lots of help on here so just ask.
I personally agree with Johnny, restore both after all restoring two bikes at the same time is like having two kids at the same time, two costs as much as one🤔.
Check the log books and if one is Parakeet yellow restore that one first because they were the fastest..........allegedly😳.

ha, I know that's a lie, I have a set of young twins!  :'(

No yellow unfortunately, I'll have to settle for the slower model  ;)

Welcome here Whits!  ;D Building one from two sounds a refreshing project, this forum has lots of friendly experts who can help you achieve it.

Thanks, that's good to hear! Unfortunately, with a young family and busy job I won't be stripping the engine/carbs down on this one, so I'll need to find someone to do that, hopefully somebody local! Any suggestions from anyone on here would be great, I'll maybe give it a go on the second engine.....

Hi Whits, welcome to the forum! Don’t rule out the possibility of ending up with two restored 400’s!😜
Have you got reg documents for both?

ha possibly! I do have registration documents for both, I don't think I have ever seen documents like them, they were last on the road in 1991.

Afternoon all,

I've been passed on 2 very sad looking '76 cb400 fours, by a friends father, they're mostly in boxes so they need a lot of attention! I believe out of the two there is a good one in there somewhere....

I'm certainly looking forward to getting it back on the road!
