I used a ds gasket set for everything but the head
That seemed ok
The standard f2 head gasket is getting very hard to find but do crop up from time to time they are expensive though I will take a look and see if I have one

CMS have the genuine ones, at Eu an arm and a leg.
Like Pete, I used an Athena kit for everything else, and the real thing for the head gasket. Recommend by several on here, they have a sticky quality not found on cheaper copies.
I think with postage and vat it was around £100, but has stayed bone dry.

i dont think DS gasket sets are athena as theyre too cheap. £39 as opposed to £73 with wemoto and much the same with brooks barn which is local to me. Pete, i need two head gaskets if you have any.

just resurrecting this one again. i've found two genuine head gaskets and theyre on the way from the US, but i came across some reasonably priced NE branded full gasket sets. anyone used these? i wont be using the NE head gaskets obviously.

I looked but could not find the f2 ones I thought I had Pete glad you sourced some in USA
I have used a silver gasket set before they are quite thin some of the gaskets bit done the job not sure about the other set you mention

I've used athena gaskets on the 400/4, 250RSA (but found and used a genuine head gasket for a fiver) and on my 350 Morini Sport. I've had no problems at all, they are quite thick and of good quality.
There's a stall holder who attends every Kempton Bike show who sells nothing but these gasket sets and they are cheaper than ebay.
Apparently and I cannot verify if this is true, Athena gaskets are OEM to Ducati and other Italian brands.

only reason i'm asking is that they are only £60 posted! i'm just trying to save some cash after spending on the head gaskets!

I used NE gasket set, including head gasket on my CB400/4. Dry as a bone all round.
