First impressions

Took my 750F out for a spin after fitting the new Delkevic 4-1,not as noisy as I anticipated so good news,runs ok with just few pops/bangs on over run.Carbs leak through overflow could do with clean/balance,Tyres need replacing rear brake better than I expected front brake crap as I expected all electrics work ok,24,000 miles on speedo but no idea if it’s accurite engine fasteners look original,Seat needs recovering/new trim,fuel tank needs repaint,few hours tidying up and I’ll have a nice bike for the summer.Still want a K7 so not sure if I’ll hang on to it for long

I love that colour on the F model, I bought a new boxed tank in that colour from DSS in 1987 for £28, plus £5 for matching tailpiece. Never could get the seat trim to match, so used a black one from a 750F2, looked okay. I'll NEVER understand why Honda fitted those hideous U.S. spec bars to a "Super Sport" model, just totally wrong! Have fun riding it, they are great bikes.

Dave. Did the Delkevic system all line up ok when you fitted it, or did you have to make any adjustments??

Downpipes and collector box all went straight on but when the silencer was fitted the gap between bracket and frame was around 3/4” ,overcame this by turning up a spacer on lathe.The little bracket supplied to stop centre stand hitting chain was completely useless and would never fit so again I improvised with a nylon bush not pretty lol but will do till I can make a decent one.Pleased with the quality overall considering only £310 delivered and centre stand retained and access to oil filter too.

I had the same gap issue on the Suzuki. I shortened the header pipes slightly on 1 and 2 to pull the collector box round slightly that put the silencer into the correct position. Worked well as I had to shorten a miss made pipe anyway. They are great exhausts if you don't mind a bit of manoeuvring to get them fitted right.

Wow that looks like a great bike, and the pipe suits it perfectly!

My experience fitting the delkevic was that at first I thought the tailpipe wasn’t going to fit....but if you leave the headers loose and jiggle it about a bit you can eventually work it into position....

Either way the bike looks cool 😎

Wouldn't work for me Rob, but Delkavic did offer to change it. Fits perfect on mine now, am very happy with it.

Yes I thought shortening couple down tubes slightly and bending it a bit would maybe do but making a spacer was quickest route.I love the colour too and intend getting the spare tank I have resprayed along with tailpiece plus seat recover.wouldn’t mind a Giuliari seat on it don’t know if possible to fit one to F1? I like the higher bars as it gives me a comfier riding position.Guess the F1 will grow on me lol. and maybe still get a K7 too,I plan to sell a BMW R80/7 that I find Impossible to ride comfortably.

Guess to fit a Giuliari seat I’d need to make back end same as K series if it were possible

Guiliari did do a seat for the F1. But it has a glass fibre tail piece which is very 70's.
I have had two of them in the past  & still have one in the loft.
The K model Guiliari seat can't be fitted. Due to the completely different rear fender/butty box on the F.
