Eyup from yorkshire
« on: July 17, 2010, 11:13:54 PM »
Hi folks found this site from usa one,
just bought a 550k on a p plate with a few problems,
hope you guys can offer some help.
i just won some carbs on ebay they are the later type (3 screws to hold the float bowls on) mine were the 4 bolt older type,
the carbs fit fine but the throttle cables seam way too short?
the bike runs fine other than this, does anyone have a pic of how the cables run.
or part numbers are they different they need to be about 30mm longer.
thanks in advance Flc.

There are two types of carb depending on F or K and year, airboxs are also different

hi folks, thanks for the welcome, managed to id the carbs they are 78 us import, managed to get a cable to fit from silvers. and modyfied the air box slightly.
just been to the coast on her :) felt a bit weak half throttle so a bit more tunning, but enormous grin factor, the super dream brakes have a lot to be desired tho.  some pics later.
