How many do you need?
When I bought Ratty it had some of these fitted. The PO asked me to give them back to him if I wasn't going to use them. I threw them into a box marked as 'Tat' along with the copious amount of acorn nuts and the shopping trolley arrangement that was attached to the front mudguard. I don't know why he want's them back as he no longer has a bike? They aren't perfect as the bike was in a shed for 20+ years. It is a 400/4 but I guess these are generic.

Are these taller covers for a cool look or is there some other benefit - any potential clearance issues on the inner ones?

Purely bling Ted.
As ever and no matter how you put them on they’ll always be too tight, graunch and the tappers will always be a pig to do.

Think they originated for things like Triumph to try and hold some of the "tappety" noise inside and not for Honda engines  ;D ;D ;D

They are of a period in Cafè racer look though.

Have got 4 used ones where the fins are vertical instead of horizontal that can go cheap if you want them. Send a pm if interested
