On the road at last!
« on: May 07, 2016, 07:44:15 PM »
Got my bike MOT'd etc yesterday, still got lots of bits to improve/change and a CR750 paint job is also required but so far so good, done about 70 miles and nothing has fallen off, not even me!, here's a couple of photos

Standard cam/engine John, I have another engine that I will eventually do a big bore/hotter cam etc, the only performance enhancements at present are the K&N's , larger jets and 4 into 1, it's debatable whether these are increasing or decreasing the HP of course!, the biggest performance enhancement is the weight reduction, in comparison to the standard bike the tank/seat/exhaust weigh nothing, there are no mudguards, everything that's not needed has gone, the only bits that have added weight back on are the fairing and associated bracketry which don't weigh much, it goes really well, I'll get it on the dyno soon (with instructions for them to be gentle!) to check the fuelling and get it all set up as well as possible, and yes your right it sounds glorious 😀

Ha, I'm having to take it in 20mile stints, it's not so much my back but my wrists, reminds my why I sold the Fireblade , and getting back on the XJR feels like a comfy sofa 😀

Thanks for the kind comments Derckey/spitfire, it's certainly getting a lot of attention out and about, I've even had car drivers at traffic lights winding their windows down and saying stuff like "nice bike mate, is it the same as the one on the honda advert?", it's all very nice of course but each time I go to ride off someone stops me and asks questions about it, the novelty might wear off a bit due to that!😀 (Only kidding it's good that they are interested ).
