There are two solutions if it is difficult to get through a door
(1) Move
(2) Take the door off

NOTE neither of these involve not having the Honda

You could ask one of the members who owns a 550 to pay you a visit and see if you can get it through the house.
A sort of try before you buy scenario. :)

Only issues I recall when I only had a domestic doorway into my shed and wanted to work on the bike in there was mirrors stuck out a bit too much so needed folding backon the mounts before attempting to go through, think the barx might have needed to be locked to left then right too, might be more of a problem going into a passageway. Twice a year, not the end of the world to take the bars off, possibly fit some narrow ones just for manouvering to and from the shed.
Got a 500/4 with rust and a sidecar and loadsa bits. nice and original and been round the clock

I kept my 500/4 in the house the only thing that restricted it was the handle bar width which is an easy fix.

I've had more CB550s than my CB750F2 & I always missed my first 550 after it was stolen from outside of my flat in Bromley back in '78. They were always more manageable & after my wife passed her test she too bought a CB550F2 that I only sold in the last few years.

I also owned a 550K3 at one stage, as a commuter bike. But my wife preferred that bike to her F2, due to a strange handling problem that I never managed to cure, despite changing lots of parts. So don't be put off them.

I'm near UK Pete in Sidcup, so just up the road really.
