Hondabond or not?
« on: May 10, 2016, 07:57:59 PM »

I am starting to put my top end back together on my 550 and wondered if I should put some liquid gasket (hondabond etc) on along with the new gaskets?

It makes sense but I am just concerned that it will be a pig to separate them again in the future?

NOOOOooooooooooooo, if the gaskets are a good make (NP or Vesrah) everything should be good.

I used plain vesrah gaskets as per Triggers advice and all is well - no leaks!

Honda bond is ONLY for the metal to metal surfaces never on gaskets and don't even think of the silicone word
