These are much better than the OEM ones and not a bad price from George.

i have too agree with green1i paid £180 for a set of originals utter rubbish out of the box but they do look nice and shiny,i was out on the very same bike today it was like a bouncy castle also the brake disc pads i fitted was crap not sure if they was genuine honda probably not, i nearly run into the back of a car near abergaveny, so ive just come in from garage after fitting a set of gilring pads and i can stop again now, the  japs made awesome engines but they could not get the handling sorted like us britts

When I rebuilt my F2 I fitted TEC gas shocks (also from George) that were supposed to be spring and damper rated for the CB750.

"DONT FIT THESE"

When the bike went on the road I had a strange bouncing on the front end. Thinking I had an out of balance wheel or badly fitted tyre I took both wheels to Raceways at Fleetwood. They found the tyres were on okay, but the front wheel was out of balance. Thinking problem solved, I refitted the wheels and it was just the same.

More in desperation than anything I decided to return the shocks to more standard just in case. I bought a pair from George (as in Triggers post) and fitted them without any issues. First time out, bouncing problem solved. The bike now handles really well, the shocks also look great with good chrome etc. Would definitely recommend, and at the price you cant go wrong.

Having owned a CB750 K1 in the 1970's, with Koni shocks fitted, I thought they all shook their heads a bit at high speed, and when I tried the one I've got now over the ton it did the same thing, a very unsettling, bum clenching feel. As is the way with these things, and as I soon found out when I went racing, tensing up and gripping the bars tight, or rolling off, just made things much worse.

As the rear shocks didn't look right, I replaced them with a pair of George's shocks via eBay (aka 101turbogas on there). The change was dramatic - a much better ride over bumps and no more high speed wobble at all. :)

To think all those terrifying tankslappers when I was a young man were probably down to the wrong (or clapped out) shocks and quite unnecessary - after becoming a card carrying Brit biker I used those experiences to slag off the handling of Jap bikes for years.

Possible that the compressed length/sag of the shocks differs, changing the steering geometry by raising/lowering the rear?
