Front Brake Flexible Hoses K7
« on: July 14, 2016, 01:33:10 PM »
I have a problem that is driving me slightly insane!
Starting to put the bike back together after a complete strip down and refurb and when I come to connect the brakes back up the line from the master cylinder on the handlebars to the with unit seems to have shrink by about three inches!
Unfortunately I didn't take enough photos on the strip down so can't check how it was previously and I bought the bike to refurb but I do know the system was full of fluid!
Anyone who can give me the measurements of the lines and a photo of how the switch unit attached, I have done might exactly as per the parts diagram but want confirmation.
I am going to buy new lines obviously but want to make sure there isn't an odd modification that's been done in the past
Thanks
Jon

Hi Jon, hopefully the photo will help.  Cant help with the hose length because I had custom sizes made when I converted to twin disc.

Cheers, Jimbo

Did you change your master cylinder to one that is designed for twin discs Jim?, if you didn't you won't have anything like the braking power you could have.
