Ha, even so it only took about 15mins, now of course I know to lie the bike on its side and lift the frame off the engine (which reversed is how I put it back in, ridiculously easy!), amyway thanks for pointing that out Trigg 😄

I got that info off this forum and told my father in law who said it sounded crazy till we did it, now he has great pleasure in telling anyone who will listen how to remove the engine of a cb750.

Having seen them make a meal of it, I'll try the lifting the bike off the motor when I do mine. Guessing I might want to remove the points cover to stop it getting squashed, but protect the case edges there with some padding, don't want to damage them with the weight of the bike on that area. I wonder which scatter cushion she would least notice the disappearance of?  8)

I noticed that when they went to see Colin Seeley, one Mr D Silver made an appearance.

It was filmed at Dave Silvers premises... Don't tell Trigg or Julie though !

Best way to part engine and frame is on its side and lift the frame off the engine , don't try it with a complete bike obviously. For a complete bike do it the way they did in the show.
