Essex Air Ambulance Run - Sept 11
« on: September 12, 2016, 09:06:09 AM »
Went along to watch the start of the 2016 Essex Air Ambulance run on Sunday - mostly modern sports bikes, but I did spot a couple of very tidy 400/4, a very smart gold 500/4 and a glimpse of a 750 in the middle of the pack somewhere !  Anyone on here ?

Fantastic weather for the run, a great cause and , as usual, I wish I had taken a camera with me.

that would have fun to see,the Air Ambulance is a worthwhile charity, but why it is still a charity, and not Gov funded I will never know,
the wednesday Biker nites I go to are in aid of the Midlands Air Ambulance, and over the the year raise around £8,000 with bucket
,raffles etc donations,at a previous event, the landlord of the pub was so impressed ,he chipped in over £200 from the sales of food and drink,

hopefully more events like these we support the local area chopper

John , our local m/c club collect over £2,000 every year from our tortiose and hare run to give to the air ambulance,  when presented , I ask the the same question why isn't gov funded ,the answer was that it wouldn't work as they  .........up every thing else , I agree , enjoy you Italy trip...
