I can always find you an old scan of a 'Bunty' magazine if that's more to your'e liking Julie ...suspect not though!  :)
I don't even want to think why Ask would have scans of 'Bunty' magazine around ....

There's a couple of 400four kits on fleabay at the mo for around 30 quid.  SWMBO wouldn't be best pleased if I sent for one.  I'll have to put it on my Christmas list and hope...

Found one at around £50 from Japan, have you a link to a cheaper one?

I just noticed,  the indicators and stop tail are yankee or jap versions.  Plus, there's no F2 decals.  And I would need to consult Julie on what nail varnish to use.
For the model, not me.

Think I will order up a kit as more chance of doing that than my real life 400. Never mind, 2017 new year  resolution perhaps! :'(
One day I'll have the time to restore it, not just talk and dream....

Maybe the kit will give you the inspiration to get the 1:1 scale version completed.

Plus, there's no F2 decals.
Maybe Piki could knock you up a set of 1/12 scale stripes for when you have done the tank with Julie's nail varnish.

Always worth asking, although I'll probably do it with masking fluid and gold paint
