D.I.D rims

Where's the best place to buy new D.I.D rims at the moment.
I may as well spend a bit on the gold 750 otherwise it will end up sitting there as long as the Peg did.

If you can find them cheaper than DSS, I would like to Know, as am in need of a few sets. For some strange reason they are always cheaper in the states.

No, I am recommending DID from your local parts warehouse/museum/international importer/Bike sales.

Yes agree with Graham that DID rims much cheaper abroad/ 119 GBP per pair from Yamiya in 'japan for 750   ... Saisei quote 400/4 rims a bit cheaper than DS so may be able to get you a pair from Yamiya a bit cheaper for the 750. With horrid side scripting of course but they are all like that now.

I recently asked Southport Wheelbuilders (Alan Atkinson) to rebuild my CB750 K4 wheels. He quoted 4 to 6 weeks delivery from his usual Supplier CWS, so I asked him to check out the DID Chrome Rims from DS and he got them within a few days. He said that the quality of the DID rims were as good as anything else in the price range (about £100 + Delivery), and I must admit that I am very pleased with the finished wheels. The raised script on the outside of the rim is a bit unusual, but I wasn't looking for concours so no matter.

A point to note was the 16" 'Harley' type rear rim which I removed had been modified to take bigger diameter spokes so Alan also had to use bigger diameter new spokes to fit properly in the hub, but the wheel looks great to me.

I can highly recommended the DID Rims and Southport Wheelbuilders.

If you don't want the script, you could always go for the Devonshire chrome.

I suppose I should go for DID as people like to see the stamp.I like the idea of stainless but ist geting a bit pricey then.

Stainless do not stay stainless and a lot harder to polish
