Any other models that share a front mudguard?
« on: November 19, 2016, 10:16:50 PM »
im after a front mudguard for my 500. I noticed that 350 and 750 models looks the same too along with 500T's. Are they all interchangeable? Just increases the chances of finding a decent guard if I know

Most of the 19" wheels shared the same mudguard but, a few were fitted with just a single stay. Repro new are available.

I've seen new complete ones for £140.
I'd rather an original one on it tbh.
Cheers. I'll keep looking now for one, just needed to know if they were all the same 👍🏻

The last OEM new one I bought was £370. The 750 has bigger bolt holes on the stays. How good do you want a original ? I may have some but will need re chroming.

Found a OEM 750 one >> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-CB-500-550-750-Four-K2-K3-K6-Schutzblech-Neu-New-front-fender-NOS-/361584685104?hash=item5430207030

DS has the same one as in Germany but much cheaper £153 inc VAT (no stock but pretty sure they can still get them in pretty quickly)...that's where I got mine from but as Graham says larger holes on stay mounts for rubber mountings, as it's essentially a  later 750cc  part.

I bought one from him at the end last year when James sold me the 500K0, it was Genuine in a Honda box. It was about 150 quid inc VAT

I'll keep looking then. Second hand will do for me but obviously I want it to be in decent condition really.

I have bought 3 brand new from D.S.in the last 2 years, last one being around 4 weeks ago and he had 6 in stock but were all gone in 2-3 days

just register for a notification when the parts arrive you get an email. That is what I did. Overall he has the cheapest original in brand new .

I was in Hawkshaw Motorcycles Ltd last year, he mainly specialises in old Triumph and BSA NOS stuff but he had an original NOS Honda front mudguard, cant remember if it was a 500 or 750 (think the 750 had larger bolt holes at the end of the stays, just need to use washers on a 500). It had the factory drill holes for a front numberplate so was pretty old but I think it was still in Honda plasic bag and looked good.
Don't think he ever advertised his Honda stock so may well still be there, might be worth giving him a ring. He is based in Liverpool and mainly does mail order.
