Swingarm arm differences
« on: January 30, 2007, 05:21:27 PM »
Is there any difference between the s/arm on a bike with a rear drum compared to one with a rear disc. Thanks, AndyL.
PS: I'm still looking for a 750 project bike, preferably with spoked wheels and rear drum. Why have you got?

THere are some big(ish) differences as I found out to my dismay once.

I bought a swing arm from a car boot once, knowing only that it was for a CB750. When I got it home, I noticed the torque are lug was on the bottom (drum), and the one I have is on the top (disc).

There are other differences, the bushing changed at some point, and the F2 is wider.
