Welcome Andy. I could never afford a CB250 so made do with a CB160 until a CB200 came along followed by a 400/4
. Looking forward to some resto photos.
I had a Triumph Sprint ST from new. Lovely engine, nice handling, great sounding exhaust, unique styling but a terrible finish, thin flaking paint on the wheels and frame, rusty stainless(?) discs, furry bolts and paper thin plastics, and it was always garaged
. It was never as good as the VFR800 I traded it in for or my later Blackbird but it used to attract a few looks and was creamy smooth to ride. If Triumph can sort their quality of finish and drop their prices they could have some winners. As it is though, 12k for a Bonnie Thruxton is a bit rich for a bike made in Thailand.
