Great Spring day
« on: March 11, 2017, 06:20:03 PM »
It's been a great day, the weather was warm, sunshine and the water over the moray firth was like a mirror. Went for a bike ride with the wife and boys along the roads and then along the shore of the firth. Stopped a few times to take in the view and saw an otter feeding itself bathing in the water on its back and also a brief break in the water a whale breaking the surface. Magic day. You have a great day. Sorry no pics, as the GoPro battery went. Doh

Back to the original thread....went over to Matlock Bath today, loads of bikes there and on the roads generally. Unfortunately we had to go in the car as picked up a new piece of engineering equipment but will definitely go back on the bikes someday soon.

Not just a great day but a great week I skived off work all week and got to ride the 550,750and the peg.
I probably did more miles last week then I did last year.  :)
Today the weather was better but I had to work so I may have to have next week off too to make up for it.

locally, the best weather was thursday,I was pottering with the Yam,and my garage thermometer topped out at 17c,

friday and today, although warm were really grey, very uninspiring,I had planed to visit the Malcolm Uphill pub, purely as a homage honest,
looking at the forecast, maybe do it on monday,

glad its getting warmer, and daylight is getting longer ,enjoy it everyone

It rained cats & dogs mid week and all the bikes are filthy but its lifted my spirits some what now so I don't care.
Oh and I can confirm the 550 now runs perfect in the rain.

Let me know if you're planning a trip to the Malcolm Uphill, although I'll probably be working.
I retaxed the 400 and, because it's now free it took about 3 minutes on line and the K75 passed the MOT no bother.
Where's that 10mm socket got to?

Brilliant Julie,  like your analolgy re.  whales. I'm sure my wife thinks she is with a  Greek adonis every time we get under the duvet..... not..

Matlock Bath?  Could at least called to say hello in Bakewell 8 miles up the road.....
One day I'll have the time to restore it, not just talk and dream....

after spending sunday playing in the garage,it was sunny and fresh so time to give the (almost) neglected CB a run,

so mid afternoon we headed for the (welsh) hills, really good, not much traffic

 Hay-BuilthWells,Llandrindod Well,Kington and home,

  great fun,

  this week is looking good,
