Honda CB550F1 centre stand
« on: April 17, 2017, 05:03:40 PM »
My F1 has no centre stand. I've sourced a stand but I don't know whether it's for a F or a K. Can someone please post some pictures of their stand from front, back, and looking down on it on the left hand side so I can see if it fits?  Thanks in advance.

Can't get to my F easily as it's tucked up one side of the garage, but did manage to measure. The foot lever arm on the 500K is about 21cm out from the left leg and on the F it's only 16cm.
As far as I know there are just the three stands for the 500/550s. The 500s and early 550s (US) models with the long arm, the F version with the short arm (both had a tube connecting the feet part way down)and the 550K3 which is a different construction (no tube connecting feet), but also has a long arm. If you still need pics let me know.

Correction: another type was the F2 stand which is similar to K3 construction, but with short foot lever, so four variations in all.

I've got a K3 so it's not that. It's a US F1, but I really would appreciate a pic of the arm and the stand looking from the back front side and the top. Don't rush out because the bike hasn't been delivered yet as there seems to be an issue with the title. If I have to alter the arm on the stand then I've got a superb blacksmith in the village (actually a national award winner) who can alter anything and does it for peanuts.
