CB500 Clutch cable route
« on: April 22, 2017, 10:28:19 PM »
One for the gurus please, I'm looking for the exact clutch cable route on a 500. I don't think mine was in the right place when I got it.

Thanks, Peter.

This got me thinking as I spent the afternoon rerouting and rerouting the throttle cables for my 550F.
But I have a museum piece US family owned 500K0 that is all original. (except someone will notice that the ignition switch has been wired up to the top bars) Original tyres et al. and I don't think ever seen rain. Hope to get roadworthy next year.
I was surprised at the cable routing. Through the hole between the clocks, down the RHS of the headstock, brushing the top of the coils where it changes sides and down between the rubbers to 1-2.
I think the problems often arise because a lot of aftermarket cables are one size fits all and there are US/UK bars etc.
