Headlight 400/4
« on: May 21, 2017, 12:47:08 PM »
Boring sunday and avoiding looking after grandkids...Has anyone replaced their headlight- either with a substitute whole unit, bowl, reflector, lease or just the lease/reflector? i remember the CIBE conversion from the 70's that made one heck of a difference.
Mine is a rusty reflector and I've even considered HID'in it as kits are cheap these days. Power consumption a lot less using one of those.but the burner needs to fit. the transistor packs are small enough to 'hide' mount.
Im trying not to go down the H4 high-wattage road and damage the delicate gene or wiring.

Probably the easiest, most cost effective route!  https://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/graphics/parts/33120268632P_large.jpg
If it's got tits or wheels, it's hassle, if it's got both, RUN!!!

Those are crap Hairy, got one sitting on the shelf for a 500/750, still in its box. ( if anyone is thinking of buying one, I have a new one going cheap). Mike the bike came up with a good alternative for the 400.

You wouldn't want him visiting my man cave then, he'd never leave, most of the rubber products in there YOU would be familiar with from your lifes work! :-X

I'm sure I would recognise most Hairy. I haven't introduced Trig to those sort of rubber items, it may send him over the edge !!!
