1973 cb 500 k1
« on: May 26, 2017, 02:39:39 PM »
does anyone know where I can get the strip that runs around the tank on the 1973 honda cb 500 k1. My tanks shot and I have seen loads of decent ones on ebay but non have the trim that runs around the flange of the tank. I've tried the usual suspects david siver spares etc but they are now an obsolet part.
cheers alan

So, you are looking for the original trim on the cb 500 four k1 tank.

That is a really hard to find part.
I once had a customer who found one NOS.
He paid 1200 euro for it.

The alternative for about 10 euro mentioned here above is actually not bad.
The original was held with clams which made the tank rost.
This new one simply sticks by itself.
