I have this to do soon and rather apprehensive of the job.Cheers KevinThanks !regarding fitting the engine, I placed the engine on the floor (still in the engine frame as supplied by Nurse Julie) carefully laid it over onto the right side and propped with blocks of wood covered in an old towel. Be careful to avoid damaging the points cover or shaft if the cover is already removed... Then with the rocker breather cover removed carefully lower the frame onto the engine and fit the two bottom mounting spindles. I had the exhaust stubs removed also, but the sump was fitted... Its a 2-man job to ensure you don't damage the paint on the frame.. I also wrapped the frame tubes with old magazines to protect them.. Its then a 2-man job to lift the frame back upright and onto the stand.... that engine is a heavy lump..
Did you cure the paint on the engine Rob, if so how. ?
