I Need a stator!!! will any year fit???

I've caught the coating on my stator putting the cover back on and its earthing out so.... 1, if i get another one will any year fit or 2, Can i get mine repaired?
Looks like the states ave a few on e bay should get one back here for less then

I think your fairly safe getting any year, as it's only a 3 phase coils, it won't have changed. as to a repair your going to need to find a specialist, but it won't be cheap, I'll have a look in the shed latet, I know I did try to sell an inner and an outer last year, but I can't remember which was sold.
