I saw this at the Kempton Park Autojumble today. It was fully working and obviously from the 70's (maybe?). It was being sold by a couple of guys who'd travelled over from France for the day. Unfortunately the guy selling it had wandered off and his friend didn't know how much he wanted for it. Likely to have been expensive though as unmarked and complete with polystyrene packing but no box.
Makes a change from the usual Evil Knievel wind up toys.

You say 'working' and I see it's attached to something but what did it actually do?

Backwards, forwards and turns just like a real one Julie. I remember my elder brother having a toy car just the same but much smaller. Probably worth a few quid now if he still had it. You can see from the condition of the bike it has never been played with, shame really, it's a child's toy after all. Maybe James May should buy it and play with it as he did with the old, mint, still boxed model train he bought on his Toy Story series!

There was a real one in the back of HGB in Ruislip. I haven’t been there for a while though.

The one at HGB was still there earlier this year - parked in the clothing section.

What? The real ones go backwards?  I didn't realise they have a reverse gear.
Where's that 10mm socket got to?
