I was in a engineering company a month or so ago. When a guy bought a engine in from his BSA with a bill of full rebuild. I notice in the Hadleigh custom sheet it says 'Big ends only ground'...does that mean they reground the crank and fitted non-standard, undersize bearing shells? If so, it may explain the bolts protruding slightly more than normal.
