Hi Stevie - glad to see that you found yourself a 750!

Did you take any pictures before you stripped it down?

Hi Stevie, welcome, definately a good idea to take as many photos as possible during a strip/rebuild, here's some photos of my engine during painting, if you look closely you can see the paint I used. For a chain guard and luggage rack I'd look on eBay.

Cheers

Guys, your in luck, I've slavaged the old gallery, only one draw back, there is no bridge between the forum and the gallery, which means you'll have to register again to use the gallery.

I suggest you use the same username and password  you used to register for the forum.

Where is it, well it's here -> http://gallery.sohc.co.uk/ - Enjoy, but remember I'm not photo bucket, we do have a limited amount of space so don't abuse it.

cheers guys, that's a few pictures now on (Stevie's 750 find).

Took pictures from the sellers lock-up before i bought the bike.
Bought it as a non-runner, been lying a few years.
Seller said the bike was ok, so paid my money & took my chances.
Seen it has very good potential, got it home & got it running.
Engine running sweet, only problem is- it bangs into gear, think I've got sticky clutch plates, will have a look.
Have stripped it down for a major clean-up, then the rebuild begins.

Where's best for parts in the uk?
cheers Stevie

Hello All,

Hi Stevie, I used this... covers really well, dries quick, resistant to manhandling engine back into frame so it appears to have adhered well.

regards, Phil
