440/4 Frame and engine
« on: September 01, 2018, 07:23:16 AM »
I have seen for sale a frame and engine with matching numbers but no V5. How could I find out if this is an import or a UK bike?
Thanks Bill W.

If it's got matching frame and engine numbers there is something not right with it as Honda never, ever sent any bikes in the CB SOHC 4 range bike out of the factory with matching numbers.

Thanks, It is listed on ebay, and I can't get an answer from the seller as to whether it is a European import as a reading in Kilometer was given for the distance travelled???
Thanks Bill W.

Having read the listing it all seems extremely dodgy to me and and personally I would.avoid it like the plague. But as in Km's its definitely an import from somewhere, not USA as that would be in miles.
Edit...it's not even in the UK so you would have shipping / courier costs on whatever price it goes for...definitely one to avoid in my opinion. Could even be a scam.

Something very suspect about this ad' and yet the seller has a 100% feedback since 2005. Not worth the risk!!

Well, i'm not at all surprised the ad has been pulled. That was definitely a dodgy one.

I'm glad I saw sense and pulled out of the deal, it upset the seller but rather that than buy a lemon. Thanks all. Bill W.
