K7 and F2
« on: February 27, 2008, 05:39:24 PM »
Hi all - I am building a CR750 replica and wonder if you guys can help? I have a K7 engine and the official Honda workshop manual says that it is identical to the F2 engine, except it is not black! Is this correct? I know I could remove the head and measure the valves but have not got around to it yet. I will be tuning the engine using an 836cc kit, Megacycle cam or Web cam, Kehin CR 31mm carbs etc and any advice would be welcomed. Thanks - Phil

Where are you Phil? (You didn't put it in your profile)

UK is best for CR Replica experience (that's what we say anyway), although there are some guys in the States who have done it as well.

Put the word "CR750" in the thread title (you can do this by editing your original post) and the guys will spot it more easily!

My in-laws are in Lower Ufford and I'm up there every other week (father-in-law very ill)

Keep in touch.

Sorry about your father-in-law. The site is great - I like the Nirvana Mcs site as well -  I love the billet stuff for CB750 (and have asked the prices!). I see you are a CB500-4 man? I had a new one in 1973 - great bike when it came out.

Cheers

Phil

The billet stuff is just a trial.  TTR400 in South Africa makes them - I'm awaiting pricing...

The bike in my avatar was mine from 76-78, when I chopped it in for a 550K3 (fool) - the K3 was too sanitised for my liking. I now own two of them.

The 500s are becoming more popular nowadays as the 750s stretch out of the reach of ordinary mortals. Have you seen some of them on eBay recently?  In my opinion the 500 was a better bike...   8)
