1975 K1
« on: December 28, 2018, 06:52:52 PM »
I spotted a 1975 500 K1 for sale
Bike is running but rough looking
Seems to be all there except for exhausts
Its fitted with some kind of home made looking
4 into 2 system. And the seat on it does not look original.
So the go question.. How hard to get parts and what to look out
For when viewing the bike?
Thanks

Most parts can be got, exhausts are a bit pricey. Some gearbox are very difficult so make sure all gears work.
Tear brake drum can crack up so check rear brake pedal does not oscillate up and down when brake applied.

Depends a lot on price as cosmetics can be expensive to re do.

Is it a UK or import from US model?

A lot depends on whether you are happy with repro / pattern parts or want NOS parts.
