Can someone clarify the 40 year rule for me. I have a bike coming up to 40 in June this year. Normally I wait for the date to actually arrive before changing the V5 to Historic Vehicle, but someone on here mentioned you can do it any time in that year from January 1st. Can anybody say that is the rule, and has anyone been successful doing it before the actual date. Cheers.

Cheers. get a dating letter from Honda,the rule is date of manufacture ,and it could have been in stock for ages before registering
