Its the "stiction" of the oil being pressed out of the friction plates under spring pressure. Be a bit mor viscious with it. Put it on the centre stand, put it in gear so the rear wheel is spinning, rev it up with the clutch lever in to about 5000 and stand on the back brake OR tacke the cover off and clutch apart
job sorted, took off the clutch cover and dismantled the clutch assy then rebuilt and works fine. Luckily i only had to remove the kickstart to gain access so an easy job, even the gasket was ok as i always use grease on paper gaskets.
