Brake pads
« on: May 03, 2019, 05:02:58 PM »
There have been a lots of posts on disc pads.
Has anyone found which give the best stopping power, and how many miles to bed in the DSS ones?
Many thanks

I recently fitted EBC  FA13V

Got them from the US.but work great.
DSS pads are hopeless. No bite .need lots of pressure.
Try FAO13V pads.they could be OK

I second the comments about EBC.  I have had these in my bike for many years and they are the best.  Brake very gently for the first few miles to allow everything to bed down and you will find them excellent.  Proper adjustment is essential.  (Turn the screw until brake binds, back off until free then 1/4 turn more in the freeing direction, tighten lock nut)

People who have ridden newer bikes will find the brakes on these bikes to be a little alarming due to lack of feedback but the stopping distance is usually better than you think it is.
