Valve Inspection Cap O-Rings
« on: May 31, 2019, 01:30:18 PM »
Does anyone know the size of the O-rings for the valve inspection caps?
I've tried the search function to no avail.
I prefer to buy decent O-rings in Viton, and have a few in stock, rather than pay silly OEM prices.
Thanks!

We never fit Viton to tappet caps, they are too hard and don't seal well with the alloy as you cant tighten the caps up tight enough. If you decide to go Nitrile, I sell them on my eBay page but PM me if you want more than the 8.

I use silicone, it’s softer than viton but better than nitrile for temperature range

No need for Viton or Silicone in that area, it doesn't get hot enough to warrant using them  ;)
