PD46A slight leak
« on: June 24, 2019, 12:04:07 PM »
All carb problems are thankfully behind me now as it's running sweetly now. The only thing wrong is an occasional drip from the air screw on no 2 carb, there is no o ring seal, and as far as I can see, nowhere for one to fit, is it possible for petrol to leak past the threads?

There should be a tiny O ring along with the washer and spring, unfortunately Honda do not supply it seperate but only with the screw "kit" I did once chase down a size that fitted but that was a long time ago and i cant remember the size sorry.

No washer, no spring and no o ring, but none of my other carbs have them but they are, and have always been fine...

Have now resolved slight leak on No 2 carb mixture screw. Just cut the smallest bit of PTFE tape and wrapped it round the threads, now no leak at all and all running fine!
