Just got back from the meal. I did my best to eat into Mr Silver's profits.
Main course. Pud.and several drinks.

I sat with Neil Tuxworth.and several of the judges. It was enlightening to hear them chat about the bike industry. Racing etc.

I hope you all have a good time.
Unfortunately I am unable to attend as planned.
I finally got the engine started on the 400/4 yesterday only for it to run really roughly and the carbs leaking. I stripped the carbs again today and cleaned them twice each (that's four times in total!) in the ultrasonic cleaner. I reassembled them and completed a bench sync.  I put them back on the bike and it now runs really well (in the confines of my garage, it was pouring down outside!) and I've not even balanced them with the gauges so a real result 👍. This was at 7:30 this evening. I will have to MOT it in the morning but to be honest I don't fancy riding it to Leiston and back in a day considering it hasn't been started in 17 years, it needs a shorter shakedown run first.
Have a great time, Mr Silver may have some sohc bargains😊.

That looks absolutely amazing, I could wander around there with my jaw dropped for hours, shame it's a bit too far for me these days, though me and my riding partner have thought about riding down in stages and staying overnight.

Cheers
