3 bond, Yambond, Suzukibond etc. Anything like this but not a silicone mastic of any type.

Seems like 2 for 2 against, think i will not bother. Honda dont seem to recommend it was just considering belt and braces. Not had a leak before from this area
One stupid question though - do the picks have a right or wrong way up, they look symmetrical to my eye

It doesn't matter if they are genuine or not. It is the state of the 40 plus year alloy surface so, you a smear of Hondabond on the underside.

OK I am a bit green on this chemical formulation stuff, anyway I have scoured all the car shops in WArrington and only seem to be able to find Silicone based stuff.

One place has Hylomar blue and I seem to remember this was what I used on the cases when I joined them and havent had a problem with it.

I looked at the Hylomar site but there is very scant information on composition

I can order Hondabond off Amazon/FLeabay but wanted to finish the rebuild in the next couple of days as I have a lot of other time commits coming up.

ALso there is no Honda/Yam/Suz main dealer within 40 miles of me now

Just fit them dry Paul, they didn't leak before so they are extremely unlikely to leak now. Just make sure the seating surface is clean.

BTW, thrust washer is in an envelope and that's stuck inside my works folder so as soon as I open that on Thursday it will remind me to drop it off at the security lodge, so it will be there Thursday night for you.

Thanks Ken
Let them know I will pick up late Friday morning
