CB650sc Nighthawk. Oil Cooler.
« on: March 01, 2009, 05:06:06 PM »
Just looking on ebay and saw a oil cooler for a Nighthawk. Question being my 1983 650sc has not got One, But wondering if I bought it, Would it fit without to much trouble, and what would be the benefit be to my old stead.

Not a 650 guy but it strikes me that the Nighthawk came in SOHC and DOHC form. If the later twin cam model had an oil cooler (anyone?) - it may fit.

Your bike was designed without one, so unless you live in a really hot place, it probably won't make any difference.

I can confirm that the DOHC model has an oil cooler. If (and it's a big IF) it does fit you may need the Filter bolt too, because it fits as a flange between the engin and the filter cover.
