PDF Editor needed for CB500 Parts Book
« on: March 17, 2009, 01:48:47 PM »
Bryan Jones sent me a very precious CB500 K0/K1 Parts Book which I have scanned to pdf (157 pages!)

Checking the file, I find that I've missed out one of the contents pages and scanned one of the other pages twice.

This took me about 3 hours to scan so don't really want to do it again!

Does anyone have access to a PDF Editor programme so that they could fix the file for me before posting it on the site(s)

Thanks Bryan.

I've put the feelers out (as you can see) here and in the Triumph forums.

The pdf file is 7M (so not too big).

If you don't mind, I won't send the book back until I've sorted this  :(

Bob Wessner has offered to have a go.

I've put the files on my website so that he can download them.

That's the problem with PDF's technically they are not editable, they are just the output, a bit like electronic paper. I can progmatically exctract and insert pages into an existing pages to create a new document.

See how you go.

Did you manage to get the document sorted? If not, send me a link and I'll see if I can get it altered at work

Cheers
