Won't it just decintigrate in the reverse chroming process? Get Piki to make you a new one.

Get Piki to make you a new one.Yes it will Julie, that's why I wondered if it's possible to remove it. I'm sure Piki can make a new one, but all the ones I've seen don't get the colour right. Besides, my 750 K1 is an original bike (other than Menno's new paint) and I'd like to keep it that way if I can.
Hello there, try with WD40 or 3-1 Spray and “hot gun” and be patient. If you need the decal contact me and I will send one for you.Best Regards.
Andrew, my rear mudguard has some pitting (in fact most of the chrome has) and the front one has pitting and dents... but it looks right on the bike, but unfortunately parts of the said decal were missing so i did have to buy a replacement from piki...and very nice it looks too. I read that original tidy bikes are gathering popularity these days ... they are only original once as they say, so if your mudguard is not bad maybe it would be fitting to use as is.... Although I fully believe in doing whatever you like to your own machine whether it be full £15k restoration or rat bike, each to his own.... But a nice tidy original bike that can be ridden is my idea of perfection 😀 here’s mine...
